Though he showed his huge potential only sparely in the last couple of seasons, Fabio Duarte still must be regarded as one Colombia-Coldeportes’ top guns for 2015. The rider from Facatativa signed a new contract with Claudio Corti’s team with the clear ambition of finally reaching the goals he grazed in 2013 and 2014. Duarte’s best performances in 2014 came at the Giro d’Italia, where he placed second at Plan di Montecampione and Rifugio Panarotta, and at the Giro del Trentino where he claimed the overall fourth place. Duarte is capable of attacking on the uphill, edging a small group in a sprint and even to handle himself in time trials: Fabio has talent and quality to finally reach the top of his agonistic curve, something he still has not managed to do this far.
